I am sorry to say that you will not be able to visit my shop in the Shambles in York any longer as I have been told that I have got to stop doing so much, since I now have arthritis and my body no longer likes commuting every day; so sadly I have recently retired after 12 very enjoyable years and have assigned the lease of the shop which no longer sells Hand embroidered Coats-of-Arms.

However the good news is that my brain is still as good as ever, so I am continuing to trade on line on this website and I hope to give everyone the same personal service that I did in the shop and can continue to take orders and enquiries on line.

The even better news from your (my customers) point of view is that because I no longer have the overhead costs of the shop I am able to discount all the prices listed on the website by 10%.

Until I am able to arrange the website differently, please just order on line at the normal price and I will automatically charge you the discounted price. The discount does cover the tax too, so for example, if you order a small single (no.8) embroidery for delivery within the EU instead of the total price being £115.15 You will only be charged £103.63.

The listed ex tax price (for delivery outside the European Union) for the same item is £98.00 with the 10% discount this becomes just £88.20

DELIVERY TIMES Every item we produce is made especially for each client. It truly is a “bespoke” service. An average embroidery takes about 50 hours actual stitching time and uses gold and silver bullion threads and French silks. The normal delivery time is 6 to 8 weeks for an embroidery and 3 to 6 weeks for a painting or calligraphy.

If you want an item as a gift for a particular date, we will be happy to give it priority and “rush” it for you; however because each embroidery is stitched individually, to order, 6 weeks is really the minimum delivery time. (10 – 14 days for a painting)

If this is still too long, don’t despair, we have a “presentation voucher” which we can send you free of charge (see picture) which you can give to the recipient to show that you have chosen a really special gift for them but because you are having it made especially for them they will have to wait a short time until they receive it. We can of course send the voucher and the gift direct to the recipient on your behalf if you prefer, just contact us with your request.
