Heraldic Art

Suppliers of heraldic emblems (coats of arms, crests) and other related items individually researched and hand made in the UK

Our shop and location.

Heraldic Art

I am sorry to say that you will not be able to visit my shop any longer as I have recently had to retire after 12 years as I now have arthritis and my body no longer likes a daily commute, so I have assigned the lease and the shop no longer sells Hand embroidered Coats-of-Arms.
However the good news is that my brain is still as good as ever, so I am continuing the business on the website, so I can continue to take orders and enquiries on line.

The even better news from your (my customers) point of view is that because I no longer have the overhead costs of the shop I am able to discount the prices listed on the website by 10%.
Please see the bulletins for how this works as it is currently very new and the website will need further amendments to make it work better.

Unfortunately the photos that we are able to reproduce here do not do justice to the breathtaking quality of the real thing. However although you can no longer see and touch the samples of our work you can be assured that they are just as carefully researched and embroidered by hand as ever, as our many satisfied customers are able to testify.
As this is only a small web site we can only show a sample of our most popular items, however most things are available in other sizes. Please enquire.

Other Services

Heraldic Art

Our embroideries cover blazer patches to banners.

We can research to find the earliest Coat-of-Arms for most names of European origin or copy a Coat-of-Arms from a drawing or description that you already have or are aware of.

We embroider Services (Forces) Insignia, Company Logos, etc. These make wonderful retirement presentations and as all our work is done to order, by hand, can be personalised to your individual requirements if requested. All our embroideries are made by hand in the British Isles.

The embroideries and the time it takes to make them

An average embroidery takes about 50 hours actual stitching time and uses gold and silver bullion threads and French silks

The quoted prices include all the research that is required.

The normal delivery time is 8 weeks for an embroidery. Obviously it is more difficult to trace a Coat-of-Arms associated with some names than with others but there is no extra charge for the research involved. If you want an embroidery as a gift for a particular date, we will be happy to give it priority and “rush” it for you; however because each embroidery is stitched individually, to order, 6 weeks is the minimum delivery time. If this is still too long, don’t despair, we have a “presentation voucher” which we can send you free of charge (see picture) which will tell the recipient that you have found the ideal gift for them but because you are having it made especially for them they will have to wait a short time until they receive it.

THERE ARE NO HIDDEN EXTRAS.

All items except blazons, blazer patches and banners are sent mounted(matted) ready to frame.

All sizes quoted are approximate.
